My name is Cheryl Brussow and I am an experienced client centered, evidence based practitioner, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in counselling.
I have nearly 15 years’ experience working with ACC Sensitive Claims clients, supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, alongside working with private clients and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) providers.
My approach to therapy is integrative and responsive, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT & EFIT). I recognise that every person’s experiences and needs are unique, and I work collaboratively with clients to provide support that feels safe, respectful, and tailored to their individual journey.
I am passionate about creating a therapeutic environment that is warm, compassionate, and grounded in authenticity, where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. My focus is on helping individuals build on their strengths, deepen self-understanding, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change at a pace that feels right for them.
I feel privileged to walk alongside people through difficult and vulnerable times in their lives and remain committed to providing thoughtful, ethical, and client-centred care that supports healing, growth, and connection.
